The SAT Superscore is the total of your highest scores on each test taken since the SAT test can be taken multiple times. For instance, if you scored 670 for math and 710 for the EBRW (evidence-based Reading and Writing) test on your first SAT test and on the second try, you scored 660 for math and 730 for EBRW. Then your super score will be the total of your highest score on each subject, which will be a total score of 1400 (670plus730).

Sat Score Percentile

The SAT score percentile is the percentage of students who scored lower than a particular student on the SAT. For example, if a student's percentile score is 75%, it means that 75% of students who took the SAT scored lower than that student. The SAT score percentile can be a helpful way to compare students' SAT scores, but it's important to remember that it's just one metric and shouldn't be used as the sole factor in making decisions about college admission. The two scaled scores are multiplied by 10 to give you the final score of EBRW. 

The SAT Math section and SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section are the overall SAT scores obtained by the candidate. For example, if you scored 680 in Maths and 700 in EBRW, your total SAT score will be 680+700 = 1380. 

How to Understand Your SAT Score Report?

The candidates will receive their score report from the College Board, which gives a detailed view of your incorrect, correct, and omitted answers. Upon logging in, you will receive your total SAT score, which combines your Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section and Math section scores. 

You will also find a breakdown of cross-tests and subscores that measure different skill sets on your SAT score report. Your SAT score Report will contain: 

  • Test Scores with the number of correct and incorrect answers in each section 
  • Cross Test Scores that analyze how you solve problems that are interdisciplinary with Social Studies and History.
  • The scores are out of 40 points where the questions are in both EBRW and Math sections. 
  • The Subscores give you an idea of how you perform on specific critical concepts of each section. 

With the SAT Score Report, you will understand what your raw score was and how they converted it to your scaled score. How to Check the SAT Score?

Students can check their SAT scores online about two to three weeks after taking the test. Here are the steps to get your SAT scores:

  • Create an account on the College Board website and log in. 
  • Once you're logged in, you'll be able to view your score report.
  • Your score report will show you your total score as well as your scores for each section of the test. 

It is important to note that your total score is not simply the sum of your section scores. Instead, it's a composite score that takes into account the difficulty of the questions you got correct. By understanding your SAT score, you can better gauge your college readiness and determine which colleges are a good fit for you.

How to Cancel SAT Scores?

Canceling your scores on the SAT is an option if you feel you didn't do your very best. However, you must act quickly. Cancellations must be made by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the Thursday following your test date. (Exception: Students with disabilities who test during the school day have until Monday one week after the published test date to cancel their score). After scores are canceled, they cannot be reinstated or reported to you or any institution. It is also possible to cancel your score at the test center or after you leave.
