This study analysed job postings from key platforms, including LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, The Muse, Bayt, Naukri, and Foundit. As digital transformation accelerates, the Middle East faces heightened cyber threats like data breaches, ransomware, and state-sponsored cyber espionage.

Research Methodologies Used

To conduct this research on cybersecurity job roles in the Middle East, we followed a systematic approach:

1. Trainer Inputs:

We received initial data from our Expert Cybersecurity Trainer Shubhanshu Verma, which included a list of 26 cybersecurity job roles relevant to the Middle East.

2. Data Collection Process:

  • We identified and focused on the top 5 job search websites commonly used in the Middle East to gather job vacancy information.

  • We selected 15 major cities in the Middle East, taking into account their population data to ensure a comprehensive analysis.

3. Manual Data Gathering:

  • For each city, we manually collected the number of job vacancies for each of the 26 job roles from the selected job search sites.

  • This involved compiling the data city by city and job role by job role.

4. Data Analysis:

  • We summed the total number of job vacancies for each role across all selected cities.

  • To provide a clearer perspective on job availability, we calculated the number of vacancies per 100,000 population for each job role.

This structured approach allowed us to effectively analyse the demand for cybersecurity roles in the Middle East, providing valuable insights into the job market landscape.
