Overview

What Does Edoxi’s Revit Architecture Course in Dubai Cover?

Edoxi's Revit Architecture course in Dubai is a 35-hour programme across 16 modules. The syllabus covers wall detailing, parametric families, AutoCAD linking, massing and site, schedules and construction documentation. It then moves to Autodesk Assistant, Dynamo automation, Forma collaboration and microclimate analysis. Everything is taught on Revit 2027.2.

Training is led by Mander G Singh, an architect who has taught Revit since 2020. He has eleven years of experience in commercial, hospitality and fit-out projects across India and the UAE. Sessions run in a flexible, self-paced lab at Edoxi's Bur Dubai centre, live online, or as a five-day corporate programme.

The Revit Architecture course prepares you for BIM Modeller, BIM Coordinator and BIM Architect roles with Dubai's architectural consultancies, contractors and developers. On completion, you receive an Autodesk Authorised Training Center Certificate of Completion and a KHDA Training Certificate with QR attestation.

What is Revit Architecture?

Revit Architecture is the architectural toolset within Autodesk Revit, a building information modelling application for designing and documenting buildings as data-rich 3D models. Architects and BIM coordinators use it to produce floor plans, sections, schedules and construction drawings from one coordinated model. It is typically used alongside AutoCAD and shared through Autodesk Forma. In the UAE, Dubai Municipality requires a BIM model to be submitted with building permit applications for larger projects.

Skills and Outcomes

What Will You Learn in Edoxi’s Revit Architecture Course?

By the end of the training, you can model a building, document it and issue the drawings yourself. Four of these eight outcomes leave you a portfolio piece; the other four are a class exercise or lab.

  1. Convert AutoCAD Plans into Revit Models

Turn DWG drawings into accurate 3D architectural models.

  2. Model a G+1 Building

Create a complete two-storey building with walls, floors, roofs and stairs. Portfolio Project 1

  3. Extract Quantities from the model

Generate material take-offs, door schedules and window schedules directly from the model.

  4. Create a Massing Study

Develop a parametric building concept that considers plot constraints and setbacks. Portfolio Project 2

  5. Build Parametric Families

Create reusable façade components with adjustable dimensions and materials. Portfolio Project 3

  6. Produce Construction Drawings

Prepare villa plans, sections, elevations and schedules on titled sheets. Portfolio Project 4

  7. Collaborate on BIM Models

Use worksets, shared models and issue coordination workflows.

  8. Make Revit do the repetitive work

Explore AI-assisted workflows and create a reusable Dynamo script.

Who Should Join

Is the Revit Architecture Course right for you?

This course is ideal for six groups of learners and professionals interested in architectural design and BIM. No prior Revit or CAD experience is required—basic computer skills are enough.

AutoCAD draughtsmen

Turn the DWGs you already produce into a model that updates every view when the design changes.

Architecture graduates

Graduate with four portfolio pieces, including a villa drawing set an employer can open and check.

Practising architects

Move your own projects into BIM, from massing through to a submission-ready set on titled sheets.

Interior and fit-out designers

Produce ceiling plans, finish schedules and room data from one model instead of redrawing every view.

BIM coordinators

Add worksharing, Autodesk Forma publishing and Assistant-driven automation to modelling you already do.

Corporate design teams

Train your team on your own live project, in a five-day programme at your office or ours.
