How Is the PMP Exam Changing in July 2026?
PMI has restructured the PMP exam effective July 9, 2026, aligned with the PMBOK® Guide 8th Edition. The most notable change is the Business Environment domain, which triples from 8% to 26%. Agile methodology weightage rises from 50% to 60%. The updated exam introduces interactive question formats with expanded coverage of AI, sustainability, and ESG. The existing PMP exam format remains available until July 8, 2026.

What Are the PMP Eligibility Requirements?
To qualify for the PMP exam, candidates must have project leadership experience and 35 contact hours of formal PM education. Edoxi's PMI-authorized training in Kuwait fulfills the 35-hour contact hour requirement. Two eligibility pathways are available depending on your level of education.

You need either a 4-year degree + 36 months of project leadership experience, or a secondary degree + 60 months of project leadership experience, all within the last 10 years (10-year window from July 2026). You also need 35 contact hours of formal PM education, which Edoxi's course provides as a PMI Authorised Training Partner.
Kuwait has two Pearson VUE PMP exam centres: Sharq — Dasman Complex (Ahmad Al-Jaber Street, Kuwait City) and Kuwait University's Mishref Campus (Block 5, West Mishref). You can also sit the exam online from home via online proctoring. Edoxi assists you with booking and preparing for both options.
