The National Programme for Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with the National Programme for Coders, has launched the fifth edition of the UAE AI Camp. This transformative camp, starting from July 8th to August 4th, 2023, is designed to empower the next generation with advanced technology, tools, and skills in the field of artificial intelligence. This collaborative effort aims to equip the UAE AI camp participants with digital tools and technologies, enabling them to enhance the framework of future prospects and harness the potential of artificial intelligence in innovative ways.
Governments worldwide recognize the potential and significance of artificial intelligence (AI). However, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken a pioneering step by appointing a dedicated minister for AI. In a groundbreaking move in 2017, the UAE became the first country in the world to establish the position of Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence. His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama was appointed as the UAE's Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, making him the world's first minister in this domain. In July 2020, his responsibilities expanded to include the Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications.

The establishment of the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence aims to position the UAE as a global leader in AI by 2031. This visionary initiative strives to create new economic and social opportunities for UAE citizens, foster economic growth, develop AI policies and best practices, invest in AI research and development, enhance the AI capabilities of the UAE government, and provide funding support for both public and private AI projects. The UAE's commitment to AI reflects its determination to harness the transformative potential of this technology for the benefit of its people and to drive innovation on a global scale.
The UAE AI Summer Camp 5.0 aims to empower the younger generation by equipping them with advanced technology, tools, and skills in artificial intelligence (AI). The UAE AI Summer Camp is an immersive program that delves into the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies. The camp intends to shape the future of technology and digital life through a series of awareness workshops. The workshops are designed to enhance participants' programming skills and equip them with the knowledge to design AI applications and smart solutions. The sessions will cover advanced topics, such as generative artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning.
