How To Get A Cybersecurity Job With Zero Experience

Yes, you can. Start with IT basics: networks, Windows, and Linux. Add one entry-level certificate, such as Security+. Practise in free labs and CTFs. Build a small portfolio. Then apply for SOC analyst or IT support roles.

Plan for six to twelve months of steady effort.

In April 2026, Kuwait's National Cyber Security Center handled 172 scam reports in one month. Fake websites led the list. WhatsApp scams came next. Every report needed a trained person to check it.

Those people once knew nothing about security, too. You can be one of them.

This blog covers one journey only: from zero to your first offer in Kuwait. We keep it simple and skip the empty promises
